Hello! I replaced the old case of my PC with a more spacious one. All internal components except the fans remained the same. When the PC starts up, the error "Error 512 - rear chassis fan not detected, Press F1 to continue" appears. When I press F1, the download continues in normal mode. The rear chassis fan that is connected to the motherboard rotates. I connected another 3-pin fan, the error remains.  When connecting the fan from the old case, no error occurs. In what there can be a problem, prompt please. I'm already tired of constantly poking on F1 at boot :Crying:

@John-Konstantin,

Why do you not use the original case fan, if it corrects the problem?

The problem is related to the minimum fan speed.

You could run a test with CPIUD HWMonitor.  Just record the speeds, and change fans.

This usually happens when someone installs a low-speed QUIET fan.

Thanks for the answer! I do not use an old fan, because its size is 80 mm, and it does not fit in my new case. The new case has a 120mm fan. Yes, it does rotate much slower than other fans.

Then another question: can I ignore this error through the BIOS setup? I just do not want to change the fan to a faster and loud fan. Thank you!

I solved the problem. Using the Speedfan  program, I manually increased the fan speed from 370 rpm to 1070 rpm. Now the error does not appear when turning on the PC. Many thanks for the right thought regarding the fan speed!
