570-p064
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Guys, can anyone help me figure out the form factor on my motherboard? It’s a Pavilion 570-p064 with a Lubin 82F2 motherboard? I decided to upgrade the video and processor and my case is just way too tight. I would like to know what form factor it is (Micro ATX, mini, ultra, etc.) so I can fit everything in and keep it cool!

Just got

  • Intel Core i7-7700 Desktop Processor 4 Cores up to 4.2 GHz LGA 1151 100/200 Series 65W
  • EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC GAMING, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan), 6GB GDDR5, DX12 OSD
  • Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz

Thanks in advance!

That is a nice case and should give plenty of room to accommodate the new graphics card, etc.  Make note of the mounting studs in the old case and verify that only those locations are present in the new case before moving the motherboard.

Goof luck

The motherboard is indeed the Lubin 82F2 .  The support page

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05382582

Says it is: Form factor: Customized: 20.5x22.0 cm (8.1x8.7 in)

ATX retains a generally rectangular board size measuring 305mm. by 244mm. Micro ATX is a more even square which retains the 244mm. width but cuts down the length to by 61mm.

What you might want is an ATX case but verify the mounting stud locations.  Many cases have multiple stud locations to accommodate various motherboards.   Keep in mind that an ATX case will also have more drive bays making it into a full desktop.  If that presents a problem, then more shopping for a case that can provide more inside space but not a full ATX case.
