HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p050
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I have a 570-p050 (model Z5N82AA#ABA) with a noisy 80 mm PWM CPU fan. I have tried replacing it with three different PWM fans and every time the BIOS reports low/incorrect fan speeds and gives me an error. I would like to change out the fan and not have motherboard/heat and noise issues. TIA

Hi:

Below is the link to the parts list for your PC.

HP PartSurfer

Your PC's CPU fan is sold as part of the heat sink assembly.

866177-001
Heatsink - AMD BrisRid 65W, Shave2+

The problem is...HP does not sell the part, so you will have to find it from a 3rd party reseller.

HP Parts Store - HP Computer Parts - HP Printer Parts - Compaq Parts

You can swap out the fan from the old heat sink with the fan from the new heat sink.

So, the OEM fan is the only one the 82F2 motherboard will correctly read RPM from? I upgraded to the highest CPU I could and would like to reduce the fan-bearing whine and CPU temperature with a better fan.

Unfortunately, that I do not know.

What I do know is that is the only part number for a CPU fan for your PC.
