690-0073w i5-9400f Upgraded rtx 3060 ti

I have a 690-0073w i5-9400f with a newly upgraded RTX 3060 Ti, and i just got a EVGA 700 GD. What I didn't notice is that there is a 7 pin power connector at the bottom where the Sata and 4 pin connectors are, and sadly, I sold my old PSU to get the new one, so here we are. Anyway, everything on the PSU will plug in, except i'm not sure how to plug in the 7 pin. I saw a video of a guy soldering the Molex connector, which i'll do if i need to, i just need to know what wires and pins. (video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRKOuI99jTI) Anyway, what is this 7 pin connector for? And do I need it to run my PC? for example, if i were to not plug anything into the 7 pin connector, would my PC post or run perfectly fine? I do not want to test it for myself, as I don't want to risk underpowering my components. If it is absolutely necessary, ill just get a new motherboard.
