I have a HP 87C3 motherboard in my HP Omen 30L with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 and looking to upgrade.  What Nvidia cards are compatible (3060, 4060)?  I am also upgrading the PSU as well.  Thanks

with a 750 watt power supply it will work without problems you can use those GPUs you have indicated.

Hi @AnthonyM22

You don't indicate your full model so I don't know how many watts of PSU you currently have but you indicate that you are changing the PSU, if the watts are sufficient for these GPUs you can use those graphics.

Current PSU is 500w but upgrading to 750w.  My main concern was if the 87c3 motherboard can handle a graphics card better than the current GeForce 2060.  Im a beginner when it comes to this stuff lol.  Looking to upgrade my sons HP Omen for Christmas.  I was interested in the Nvidia GeForce 4060 or 70 but not sure if thats overkill for him.  Any suggestions?  Would like to keep it with GeForce RTX .
