921 front usb not connected

Hi,

I fitted a USB 2.0 Motherboard Header Splitter Cable Hub, and fitted card reader into Tower,

now I get the error massage 921 front usb not connected.

can anyone help with this

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

The main thing I can think of would be not enough power from the USB splitter to more than two external USB devices.

You could have a faulty card reader.

Try the card reader by itself. 

I have a USB 2.0 hub in my PC. The hub requires a Molex power connection to power additional USB connections.

You can only run so many USB ports on one MB USB header.
