I have my laptop plugged into a television via HDMI because the screen is busted. However, whenever a key is pressed, a noise plays through the television speaker. Is there any way to turn this noise off?

hi @KhoraB

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Wow, that is a strange problem.

Can you try a different TV?

And try a different HDMI cable, if possible.

@Bill_To Actually, it appears to just do it regardless, no HDMI required, which is even stranger

Hi @KhoraB

That is a really strange symptom.

I can only guess the keyboard noise coming from the speaker might be related to the screen damage. Especially if this noise started soon after the screen damage occurred.

Otherwise, I have no idea what could be causing this.

Regards
