I'm searching for a part number for a replacement AC power cord for an HP Slimline 260-a114 desktop PC. I'm having a devil-of-a-time trying to locate the correct part number. I cannot find the part number in the HP documentation. The computer is equipped with an odd power supply. The power plug looks like a laptop plug on the back of the machine, although the PC is in fact a small desktop. I'm trying to refurbish this computer for my daughter. Can anyone in this knowledge base please help by providing the correct part number for the OEM AC power cord - or perhaps an appropriate aftermarket part reference? Many thanks!

Enter your PC's serial number in the search window at the link below and it should provide the external power adapter part number and description.

The power cord is sold separately.

My recommendation would be to go in eBay search by the HP power adapter part number and find a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter.

Those usually come with the power cords included.

The reason I can't just give you the link to a power supply, is the parts list for your PC's product number shows 4 different power supply versions, so I am hoping if you enter the serial number, it will narrow down the list to one.
