Good day to all. I have an HP Pavilion dv6-6077er laptop. After replacing the hard drive with an SSD and installing Windows 10, the device manager shows one uninstalled driver - ACPI\HPQ0004.
I already found an article with a solution to this issue - https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02609911
But I have a question. HP 3D DriveGuard is a program that SSD drives do not need due to the lack of moving parts. Do I also need to install it to solve my problem? Thank you.

Hi:
Yes, if you want to install the device you have to install the driver, but you can do it without installing the software that is used to control the accelerometer.
I have SSD's in my notebooks that have that same hardware ID, and here is what I do:
Download and install the free 7-zip file utility.
The first file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.
After you install 7-zip, download and save the W8.1 accelerometer driver.
This one is newer file number than the one on the article you found.
Do not run the exe file.
HP 3D DriveGuard Software
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp64001-64500/sp64144.exe
Right click on the sp64144.exe file and select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.
Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its driver folder.
After you do that, go to the device manager.
Click on the Unknown HPQ0004 device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option and browse to the driver folder that 7-zip created.
Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver will install.
Then restart the PC.
Now the unknown device will be gone, but the accelerometer will be inactive because none of the software to trigger it got installed.
