AIO 22-C0015t HDD Upgrade: NVMe or SSD

I am upgrading my storage drive and want to insure I get the right interface for the M.2 slot on this board (AIO 22-C0015t). The specs aren't clear.  I opened it up and I think it looks like NVMe but wanted to check for sure.  I am hoping as I think this will solve the sluggish issues Im having with the legacy HDD.

Is it NVMe or SSD style for the HDD storage card slot?

a very simple and accurate method if you can't find the system specs is to actually look at the installed SSD and note the model number and google it, that will usually tell you of it's SATA or NVME

your system motherboard is more closely related to a laptop rather than a normal desktop motherboard

and it appears to be budgeted towards the lower end price and feature wise,... based on this i would bet that the M.2 slot is SATA based and not nvme the only thing giving me pause is the  m.2 graphics card connector on the motherboard as this is used to connect to a external pci-e slot that has a video card installed  read the link below

BTW, the system actually appears to be sold by HP without a m.2 ssd option

Your last link really helped.  It doesn't answer the question... yet!?! (lol)  Also, it may not have sold with an m.2 upgrade option but the specs say it's possible, just unclear on form factor.

Since the specs on the board are not clear, the only way looks like to open it and count the pins on the M.2 SSD connector on the board.   If the small end has 4, then it's PCIEx2, or plain SATA.  If it has 5, then it's PCIEx4 or NVMe.

Does that sound right? 

Wish the specs were more clear. 

Off hand, I've pondered running an external GPU but wasnt sure that's what the M.2 GPU slot was capable of.   I might look into that now as I've still got some PCIE external card expansions from my zCash mining days.
