Microsoft Windows 11

@User_7879740,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

In general, making an (external) graphics card work on an AIO would be rather challenging if not doable if you are not an experienced DIY-er and computer savvy.

As a matter of fact, none of these HP System EliteOne 800 G4 23.8-in Non-Touch AiO Users managed to do this: UserBenchmark: HP EliteOne 800 G4 23.8-in Non-Touch AiO Compatible Components.

Nevertheless, if you were adventurous enough to take on this GPU upgrade project, this is what you should do:

Select one of the M.2 NVMe SSD slots situated on your motherboard:

And install one of these M.2 NVMe SSD to PCIe x4 adapter (50cm) cables/dock: PCIe 4.0 x4 Riser Cable 64Gbs M.2 Key M for NVMe External Graphics Card Stand Bracket R43SG PCI-E fo...:

This means you'll have to figure out to create (cut!) an access opening on the rear panel of your AIO to allow the M.2 ribbon cable to exit your AIO.  You'll need an externally placed ATX power supply to power the graphics dock, while keeping your current AIO power supply.  Once you connect the ATX 24-pin power cable to the dock, you can use the ATX's PCIe 6+2-pin power cable(s) to power the graphics card of your choice.  Make sure that the ATX power supply has sufficient wattage to power whatever GPU you pick.

This method works just fine: as you can see in one of my upgrade projects: Solved: Upgrading an HP EliteDesk 800 65W G4 Desktop Mini (DM) - HP Support Community - 8708671.

Kind Regards,
