Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! (excuse my english😅) I have this HP Pavilion Elite HPE-270f pc model and I would like to upgrade the graphics card to a slightly more powerful one with at least 2gb of ram, (the one my pc brought is a radeon 5770 ddr5 1gb) because some games I try to play they ask me for a minimum of 2gb of vram and my pc does not meet that requirement and i would like to know what other cards could be compatible with my pc. Thanks

Hi @Rosdel01,

The problem with your PC is that your motherboard doesn't support UEFI -your BIOS is legacy.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until late 2012, and so you are limited to legacy compatible graphics cards.

So, let's take a look at your system.

Your PCIe X16 powered Radeon 5770 HD has a TDP of 108 watt, and your PSU delivers 460 watt.

With these limitations in mind, a quick research suggests that your PC is probably compatible with a PCIe X16 powered RX 460 2GB (TDP 70 watt, minimum PSU Recommendation: 400 watt), which would double your graphics power: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-460-vs-AMD-HD-5770/3641vsm7752

You can get an RX 460 for about $100 via eBay.

Kind Regards,
