Hello everyone,
I have a Victus 15L desktop and it has a Reno 2 motherboard as you can guess.
Motherboard has a M.2 SSD already from factory and I installed Windows and my other stuff. But I want to expand my storage space with an 2.5 SATA SSD. Which sata port should I use? (SATA 0 or SATA 2?)
Also I read that generally SATA 0 port is using for boot drive, does it mean any problem for my M.2 slot?
Thanks a lot, looking forward to see your replies.

Hi:
If you want to use the 2.5" drive for storage, plug the data connector into the SATA 2 port.
As you indicated the SATA 0 [port is the port the SATA drive would boot from if you didn't have a M.2 SSD installed.
Connecting the SATA drive to Port 0 could cause the Windows boot manager to want to boot from the SATA drive.

Anytime.
Glad to have been of assistance.
You have a good day too!
After you install the SSD, you can run this free utility that I zipped up and attached below.
Amongst all kinds of useful information regarding your PC, it will tell you the SATA version of the SSD and the speed of the SATA port it is running on.
The report should indicate SATA 6.0 GB/S @ 6.0 GB/S.
