Hi ,
I recently purchased a HP Prodesk 400 G6 Desktop Mini PC (Product number: 9AG50AV)
I need to add a 2.5" hard drive to it....
What kind of cable do i need?
will something like this work?https://www.firstshop.co.za/products/asus-x509fa-internal-hdd-cable-ffc-10p-0-5-l109-6-14010-0068340...
It's an asus but not sure if they are compatible?
I dont want to spend to much money at the moment

That is an ASUS part, not HP, so not likely to work at all.
I suggest using the resource that @Prométhée graciously provided you twith to find an applicable HP part for your upgrade.

Hi
did you read what is indicated in the links
I did not specify, but as it is indicated in the manual:
Always use an HP-approved SATA 6.0 Gbps cable because it is fully backwards compatible with the SATA 1.5
Gbps drives. Current HP desktop products ship with SATA 6.0 Gbps hard drives.
SATA data cables are susceptible to damage if overflexed. Never crease a SATA data cable and never bend it
tighter than a 30 mm (1.18 in) radius.
The SATA data cable is a thin, seven-pin cable designed to transmit data for only a single drive.
It would be better to use an hp cable
unless you are certain that the one found is identical and that there is a chance that it will work!

if it is not the correct reference, it may not be able to be connected
if in doubt, if not, contact hp directly if possible
