Add a 2nd network card to OMEN PC 880

Hello to all,

I would like to add a 10 Gigabit network card to my OMEN 880 desktop pc.

The motherboard has following available slots:

Network

LAN: 1000BASE-T

• Technology: Realtek RTL8161
• Data transfer speeds: up to 10/100/1000 Mb/s
• Transmission standards: 1000BASE-T Ethernet

Expansion Slots

• One PCIe x16 (GEN3) slot
• One PCIe x4 (GEN3) slot
• One M.2 socket 1, key A
• One M.2 socket 3, key M

Could I get some help in selecting the appropriate and compatible spare please?

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Your PC has a PCIe x4 slot.

So you should be able to do a 10 Gbps network card in this slot.

I don't suggest specific OEMs but Intel or TP-Link, would be reliable choices.
