Hi, I am trying to work out if I can add an extra M2SSD to my sunflower Motherboard in the specs under expansion slots it has
- One M.2 socket 1, key A
- One M.2 socket 3, key M
The module I have (which is the original 128 SSD which I upgraded to 500 SSD) is a M2 with B and M key
Thank
Vix

What is your machine ?
>>>> I upgraded to 500 SSD) is a M2 with B and M key
That means the One M.2 socket 3, key M already in use (I don't know why you use SATA M.2 SSD). The other One M.2 socket 1, key A may already in use (for wifi adapter) and it is not suitable for storage.
Regards.

Dell Sunflower motherboard have only one M.2 socket 3 key M for NVMe memory stick hard drive.
and other short socket M.2 key A is reserve for Wireless WIFI adapter module. When upgrading be sure
the KEY is correct type or else it won't work. Especially the Wireless WIFI key. If you get Wireless WIFI module
be sure to get the antenna with it too.
For hard drive over 2TB, normally windows can only format it to 2TB unless your bios support GPT format.
To format hard drive over 2TB per partition you need a harddrive partition software like
Macroit Partition Expert (free version) convert the harddrive to GPT format (support 16TB max per partition).
