What you have is a standard 3.5" hard drive. All you need is an adapter like this example.
It will allow you to hook up any SATA drive (SSD, or HD) to your system via USB 3.0
HP Envy 8 5010 Tablet
(2) HP DV7t i7 3160QM 2.3Ghz 8GB
Printer -- HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Legal
Custom Asus Z97D, I7-4790k, 16GB RAM, WIN10 Pro 64bit, ZOTAC GTX1080 AMP Extreme 3 fan 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD, Asus PB287 4k monitor, Rosewill Blackhawk case and 750W OCZ PSU.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details in order to check the hardware configuration.

Thank you ub2001 for supplying me with the link to the correct adapters so I could hook up my SATA drves to my new HP computer. The only mistake I make was ordering them from China about 3 weeks ago. they finally arrived today and everything is working great. Thanks again.
