I have a 2TB 3.5" internal HDD (2nd disk) from my old computer (HP Pavilion) that I would like to move to this new HP 590. How do I do this? Does HP Pavilion Desktop 590-p0xxx have slot to hold 2nd HDD and cables? ANy guidance/instructions are much appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you for the model #. The HP 590-p0007c has a 16GB cache M.2 device, and the WIN 10 is on the 1TB hard drive. There are 3 SATA data headers on the motherboard. You do have 1 unused SATA date header. (No cable supplied). An upgrade & service manual, as shown here, on page 10 to remove the dvd drive FIRST, then page 12, will explain the hard drive bays. The SATA hard drive power cable should have an unused power plug. Remember, DVD drive first, then to the hard drive bay.

So that HP will know, why did you only state your computer as HP 590-p0xxx... What are the "xxx". That way I can look up the unit.

Hello Wb2001,
Thanks for your quick response. I ran the Belarc util and it gave me that model number. Now I ran the Serial Num on HP website and got the correct model number: HP Pavilion 590-p0007c.
Thanks.

Thanks very much for your help. I was able to install a second 3.5" HDD on the access panel (slotted as 3rd bay) and was able to connect to the unused SATA data header. Now I am able to access this installed drive from this Computer.
