This is my particular product:

DESKTOP-912OK6U

HP All-in-One Desktop 22-dg0xxx

I watched the video how to change RAM and it looks like there is just one slot or if there is a second slot, it wasn’t addressed in your video.
what is the max amount of RAM per slot? Total if there are two slots?

thank you in advance

Hi @Lorabells,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I completely understand wanting to know whether you can add RAM and by how much.

Short answer up front: Many HP All-in-One 22-dg0xxx systems ship with memory soldered to the board or with a single SO-DIMM slot, so a user upgrade is often not supported. Attempting to modify the memory on systems that aren’t designed for it can damage the unit and may void your warranty, so we don’t recommend trying it unless you confirm the model supports an upgrade.

What I recommend you do next (safe checks you can run right now)

  1. Check Windows first (no disassembly required)
    • Open Task Manager → Performance → Memory.
    • Look for the line that says “Slots used: X of Y,” which tells you how many physical SODIMM slots are present and used.
    • This page also shows the currently installed RAM amount, speed and form factor (SODIMM vs. soldered).
If it shows “Slots used: 1 of 1” or “0 of 0”, that tells you whether there’s a spare slot.

  2. Check the product label / HP Support page
    • The full product number (P/N) or serial number on the sticker lets us confirm the exact factory configuration.
    • If you’d like, share the product number/serial in a private message, and I can confirm the supported memory configuration for your exact unit.

  3. If you decide to open the chassis
    • Only do this if you’re comfortable and the unit is out of warranty or you accept the warranty risk. Use proper ESD precautions.
    • If you’re unsure, it’s safer to have an authorized HP service center check/upgrade the RAM.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
