Im running out of storage space. Id like to add an internal HD SSD and Im not sure if I have any slot available and what type of

Hi:

 

Your PC only has one M.2 slot which is currently occupied by the 256 GB NVMe SSD.

 

Your options would be to:

 

Replace the 256 GB NVMe SSD with one having a larger storage capacity such as 1 TB.

 

Perhaps if your PC supports it, add a 2.5" SATA SSD but you would need a data cable and 3.5" to 2.5" drive adapter.

 

It would be much easier to replace the existing drive with a larger capacity one.

 

I recommend the Samsung 980 1 TB SSD.

You can use the HP cloud recovery tool to reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC on the new SSD.
