Product: HP ENVY Desktop PC TPE01-3000i (4M0M1AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Is there any reasonable way to install a Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus inside the case? Looks to me like the PCI Express slots are backwards for a card to hold the SSD. I can use an external wired case but really want it right on the motherboard.

What is your HP ENVY Desktop PC TPE01-3000i (4M0M1AV)  machine ? It should have same motherboard

What does it have now ? You can have ONE M.2 NVMe SSD (such as Samsung 970 EVO)  and others such as a 3.5" SATA HDD.
