Will be getting this PC very soon. It has a 2TB HDD, I want to add a SSD to run my OS. Any thoughts on if this is possible.

Yes, the motherboard has "One M.2 socket 3, key M".  The key M denotes that you can add a NVMe, M.2, SSD.  It will most likely be a 2280.  I suggest Samsung products.  They seem to work best with HP BIOS/UEFI.  Here is a HP Knowledge Base article to explain how to transition from your HDD to a new M.2.  Here is a guide that explains the M.2 Keys and Sockets.
