Can I install a serial port (9 pin 232) card into my chassis? I need it for machine code transfer to a CNC milling machine (older machine).

Thank you for the additional information, @RickBnks.
Here is a card that has a PCI interface: https://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/Serial-Cards-Adapters/2-Port-16550-Serial-PCI-Card~PCI2S550
You can contact StarTech to see what they recommend. I normally use their Chat Live option when it is available.

Hi,
I know there are few around such as:
But I have not tested any of them. I actually use something similar to the following one at least twice a year,

@RickBnks, welcome to the forum.
There are 3 PCI slots on the motherboard. I believe that you could use one of them to add a serial port adapter card. Your best option would be contact StarTech's (www.startech.com) Tech Support using their Chat Live option. They will help you choose the best card for your system. They have good quality products.

@RickBnks wrote:It mentions in specs. That PCI express slot I not available. I think that's what Star Tech requires. Any ideas? I might contact them!
Hi,
If no PCIe slot is available, you may have to go to USB option as mentioned above.
