Welcome to our HP User Forum!
The theoretical maximum drive size that a 64-bit OS can address is about 75.5 zettabytes. That’s 75.5 billion TB. It will be a while before such drives are available.
However, as a general rule, most modern motherboards with SATA ports should be able to handle hard drives up to at least 16TB in size.
That being said, other factors such as the power supply unit (PSU) and the computer case's physical space should also be taken into consideration when upgrading the hard drive. A higher-capacity hard drive may require a higher wattage PSU to provide enough power, and it may also generate more heat, which could affect the overall system's stability.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
