Product: HP ProDesk 600 G5 Base Model Desktop Mini PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I'm looking to add a HDD/SSD to my HP ProDesk 600 G5 and I have used both M.2 slots leaving no room in the PC for an additional 2.5 HDD?/SSD and am looking to add HP's Desktop Mini 500GB HDD/ I/O Expansion Module. In the literature I could find, it says I need to download a SoftPaq SP***** in order to operate serial devices and ports on the module. I am not interested in using legacy serial ports integrated on the I/O card, just the 2.5 HDD/SSD drive capacity on the module. Is this possible?

HP Recommended

After I purchased the HP Mini Expansion module and installed a 2 TB HDD in the unit windows Update automatically installed the appropriate drivers  and the unit functions properly.
