I have an Elite tower 800 G9 with a 1tb SSD, but would like to add a HDD for more storage. I am having 2 problems: 1) the SATA cable is fine but the power plug has a different shape than the socket on the hdd. Is there a special drive or adapter for this PC? 2) the HDD bay is very large - is there a caddy to hold a standard 3.5in HDD ? Have searched for both with no luck. Attached is a picture of the power plug inside the PC. Power plug in centre does not fit hdd

The other two connectors in the image look like connectors for 2.5" SATA drives, which work for 2.5" SSD Disks.
Can you show what the connection part of those look like?
The manual shows that there is a 3.5 inch-to-2.5 inch drive adapter SATA power cable present which is perfect for adding an SSD.
These are also present in the tower enclosure:
SATA, 17.7 in, 2 straight ends
SATA, 17.7 in, 2 straight ends, RF
SATA, 11 in, 1 straight end, 1 right-angle end
SATA power cable
SATA power cable, RF
SATA power cable, 2.5 inch hard drive
There is no real value to using a legacy HDD when the prices of 2.5 SSD drives have fallen to such a comparatively low level.
Be aware that legacy HDD products draw a higher amount of current compared to the very low current requirement of an SSD product and are also not as reliable as an SSD.
I have a few 2.5" SSD drives that are twelve years old and still working flawlessly.

Thanks, I agree about the SSD, but I wanted 2tb additional, and Inthink the largest are only 1tb. - I also still have the issue with the drive bay and the power connector. I guess I could make a caddie from cardboard… I will look again, but really did not see any other power connectors on the power supply.

Can you flip the P17 connector over and provide an image in your next reply?
It looks like a SATA connector
