Does anyone know if this HP All-In-One has a free M.2 socket to put a second NVME SSD in the PC? I am wanting to put a 1TB NVME in there. The specs say it has an expansion slot: one M.2 socket 3, Key M, type 2280 for SSD Socket one is the WLAN. I assume Socket two is the existing 256GB SSD.

Hi:
You are correct.
The motherboard specs indicate that there is one M.2 slot for a SSD and one for a Wi-Fi adapter.

Unfortunately, you cannot add a second M.2 SSD to your PC.
If you need more storage, you will need to replace the 256 GB NVMe SSD with one having a greater storage capacity.

I ran the diagnostics on this PC and it says the 256GB drive is not an NVMe. I bought the HP dp-1066 all in one from Staples that has 256GB SSD. I want to add a second larger capacity drive to the PC internally. Am I correct that the PC supports an additional NVMe memory card? The 256GB that is in there is a different format. I can't remember what the paper said since I didn't bring it with me to my office today.

Both the specs for the PC and the parts list indicate that your PC came with a 256 GB NVMe SSD.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to provide any more help since all indications are there is only one M.2 SSD slot that is occupied.
If you want to buy another NVMe SSD, that's entirely up to you, but I am pretty sure you will be disappointed to find out that there isn't another slot for a NVMe SSD after you open up the PC.
