HP Envy

I have an HP Envy TE01-1022 and I am trying to install an Nvidia GeForce 3060 graphics card. I was able to insert it into the graphics card slot and it's secure. However, there isn't any way to connect a power supply to this graphics card. What am I missing?

@akunk33 , welcome to the Community.

The motherboard in your computer is HP proprietary. It has a 4-pin power connector instead of a standard 24-pin ATX power connector. You will have to buy any PSU upgrade from HP.  The most powerful PSU that HP sells that is compatible with your motherboard is 500W.

The one that came with the computer is only 180W.  This is not nearly enough power to run a 3060 properly.  According to nVidia's specifications the 3060 requires a PSU with a minimum of 600W with the following supplementary power connector.

Supplementary Power Connectors1x PCIe 8-pin
(adapter to 1x 12-pin included)
