HP 251-a244 Desktop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm looking to add more 3.0 usb's to my mother board.

  It's on a HP 251-a244 Desktop with the Camphor2 mother board.  My question is where is the express pci card slot located.  I haven't open the case yet.  I'm looking online at the mother board and do not see it.  Any help would be appricated.

Thanks,

Hi, @Bgarr :

You are correct.

There are no free PCIe x1 expansion slots on that motherboard where you would normally insert a USB 3.0 PCI Express Card, audio card, NIC, etc.

The only expansion slot is occupied by the wireless card as Banhien posted, and that can't be used for anything but a HMC form factor wireless card.

The spec sheet indicates...One PCI Express half-length mini card socket.

The PCI Express refers to the speed of the socket.   The type of socket is a half-length mini card.

@Bgarr, welcome to the forum.

There are no PCI Express slots on the motherboard.  Here is the only slot that is available: one PCI Express half-length mini card socket.

Here is the Motherboard Specifications page.

Ok, still does not answer my question.  I know it has a PCI Express half-length mini card socket.  Where is it, with a good picture.  The stock picture is not good enough.  I need to know what kind of hook ups it has so I can buy the correct card.

Ok, so there is no true expansion slot, even though the spec sheet list one as being free correct?
