My desktop (M01-F1056) only has one M.2 port, and I am a little inexperienced as to hooking up a second SSD without removing the original or having to clone anything. I see something about SATI Hookups, and there are a few ‘spare’(not connected on one end, so going to nothing) SATI like cables in my case- but I have no idea what to do because none of them fit the SSD correctly (Samsung SSD 980) and I don’t know what will go to what. Also, I see no other areas to secure the card near the motherboard, nor much space; how would one ‘install’ the second SSD with no area to secure it? Tape? Zip tie?
Thanks!

Hi:
Please see this discussion...you can buy either one of those PCIe adapters that I referred to and fit your Samsung 980 NVMe SSD in one of those.
Note that the SSD will not run at its full speed with the PCIe x1 adapter since that only uses one lane.
The PCIe x16 adapter, which goes in the graphics card slot would let the drive run at its max speed.
