Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I just purchased a mini tower which has a 256 gb SSD and I want to add a second 1TB SSD.  This is new for me and I'm not sure what interface (SATA or NVMe) I need to use and what form factor (2.5" SSD using a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter) I need to use?  I'll be using this drive to put all of my data on and use the 256 gb SSD for my apps.  Thank you for your help!
