Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought my new 800G4 with 8GB of Ram. It is not running as quickly as I had hoped. Can I add an additional 8GB DDR4 chip or must i replace both 8GB cards to get to 16 GB?

Hi,

There is so much you can customize in that series, So you will need to mention the CPU you have in the PC for further help.

Some of them can be configured with 32GB of RAM.

Naturally, if you already know that you can upgrade to 16GB then you can add another 8GB stick in the empty slot. What you need is a 8GB stick of DDR4 2666Mhz RAM SODIMM ("notebook RAM") You can purchase from your preferred brand such as Crucial, Samsung...

If you do not have an SSD in the PC, it would give a major performance boost installing one in the M2 slot.

Hope it helps,

David

Thank you so much, Iomare. My cpu is 8700 I7.

In the past, I thought I had remembered that the stick needed to "match" and wasn't sure if I could buy just one more.

This will be easy. Appreciate your help.
