Hello all, 👋

I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0002no.

Would I be able to fit an aftermarket CPU cooler like e.g. Noctua NH-L9i that supports LGA1151? The motherboard is a Lincs 17514-1 Rev A (348.0A81.0011).

The cooler has to be connected by a 3-pin connector drawing 12 v (2.53 watt).

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Check this Video showing a Noctua NH-L9x65 install in a HP TG01 case having an AMD MB.

HP AMD MBs and HP Intel MBs use the same Intel CPU heatsink mounting configuration.

The HP TG01 case in the above video is a newer derivative of your HP 690 case.

Thank you very much - I will proceed updating the stock cooler.
