Hi @rondow

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I'm really sorry your All-in-One keyboard isn’t responding—it’s frustrating when everything else seems fine but the keys stay silent. Since you've already replaced the batteries and confirmed Windows 11 is up to date, let's walk through a few focused steps to bring it back to life.

1. Confirm Keyboard Power and Connection

Even with fresh batteries, the keyboard may not be paired or powered correctly.

  • Turn the keyboard off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • If it has a connect or pair button, press and hold it for 5 seconds.
  • Watch for any LED indicator—if it blinks, it's attempting to pair.

2. Reconnect via Bluetooth or USB Receiver

If your keyboard is wireless:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices
  • Remove the keyboard from the list if it appears
  • Click Add device > Bluetooth, then follow prompts to re-pair

If it uses a USB receiver:

  • Unplug the receiver, wait 10 seconds, then plug it into a different USB port
  • Restart the computer and test again

3. Check Device Manager

Windows may have disabled the keyboard or failed to load its driver.

  • Press Windows + X, select Device Manager
  • Expand Keyboards
  • If your keyboard is listed, right-click > Uninstall device
  • Restart your computer—Windows will reinstall the driver automatically

If it's not listed, click View > Show hidden devices and check again.

4. Test in BIOS or Startup Menu

To rule out a Windows-specific issue:

  • Restart your computer and press Esc repeatedly as it boots
  • If the Startup Menu appears, try using the keyboard there
  • If it works in BIOS but not in Windows, the issue is driver-related

5. Try on Another Device

If possible, connect the keyboard to another computer or laptop.

  • If it works there, the issue is with your All-in-One’s configuration
  • If it doesn’t respond at all, the keyboard may have a hardware fault

6. Reference for Driver and Setup

You can find setup and driver support here: HP Keyboard and Mouse Troubleshooting

Let me know how the keyboard responds after these steps. You’ve already taken the right first steps—now we’ll dig deeper and get those keys clicking again.
