I have a brand new EliteDesk 800 G3 mini 65W that I bought 4 years ago and never touched, now I want to install windows 11 on it and just realised the i5 6500 it comes with won't allow me to install windows 11, I know I can put an intel i7-7700 but this one is not in the compatible processor to be able to install windows 11.
Do you guys know any processor I can use that will allow me to install windows 11?
P.s. Still can't believe this low blow from Microsoft.
Thanks

The whole series uses 7th Generation Intel® Core™ processors. If you wish you can bypass Hardware check and run Windows 11 on 7th Generation Intel® Core™ processors using

You think that overtime not having the minimum Microsoft requirements to install windows 11 will cause any issue? I know I can install windows 11 in a no compatible PC I am just worried a bit about it. I was having a look at EliteDesk G4 they come with intel i5-8400 that is compatible.

I bought a used HP 800 G3 35W DM with the i5-6500T processor and I have been running W11 just fine on it for the last two years or so.
You will find that watching this video is the easiest way to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11.
How to Install Windows 11 on Unsupported PC in 2025 (New Easiest Method, No CMD)
I'll wager that you will find the PC may even run better on W11 that it does on W10.

You're very welcome.
The DM is quite a nice little PC.
I paid $65 for it in June of 2023.
The next time I get one, it will be the G4 or G5 so I can still use the stand I bought for the G3 to run it vertically.
They both have the same case as the G3.
But I will get the 65W model because it probably has a bit more 'horsepower' than the 35W model has.
