Hello, I know next to nothing about computers so I thought I would ask for help on the HP forum here.
I have an HP Envy TE01-4020, the specs are:
13th Gen Intel Core i7-13700
32GB RAM
1 TB SSD
Intel UHD Graphics 770
Windows 11 Home
I've upgraded the storage with a 4TB HDD and recently installed a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 with 12GB GDDR6, I've hooked this up to a Seasonic G12 GM-550 PSU since the internal power supply on my PC does not have enough power for the graphics card. I wanted to install a dedicated graphics card to upgrade from the UHD 770 integrated graphics.
The PC does not seem to recognize the new GPU and I tried downloading the driver for the new GPU but due to the PC not recognizing the hardware, it failed to install. I'm not sure what the process is to offload the graphics from the UHD 770 to the dedicated GPU. I've tried to swap it in Device Manager but it doesn't show up and the BIOS options say the PCIE ports are all enabled.
Any information or help would be greatly appreciated and I'd be happy to provide any further details.
