Call of Duty is requiring a BIOS Firmware update.  All Settings for TPM and EUFI are correct.  MSINFO gives the the BIOS as AMI F.39.  I cannot find on HP nor using the HP assistant an update.  In fact HP states for this HP to go to AMD and AMD has nothing to update either and there does not appear to be workaround.  Has anyone had this issue and can help.

Hi @Cyberkind

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are looking for the BIOS update, If Call of Duty or another application is specifically requiring a BIOS update for gameplay and you're facing difficulty finding or installing an update, here are a few steps you can follow:

Update Windows & Drivers

  • Open Windows Update
  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to Update & Security → Windows Update.
  • Click Check for updates.
  • Install Pending Updates
  • If updates are available, click Download and Install.
  • Allow the process to complete — this may take time.
  • Restart your computer when prompted.

Update Drivers

  • Download it from HP’s official site. https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
  • In the app, go to My Devices → Updates.
  • Install all recommended updates (chipset, graphics, system firmware, etc.).
  • Restart your laptop after installation.

If there is no BIOS Update Is Listed It means HP hasn’t released one yet for your model and requesting to wait.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Thanks for the info.  Tried all but to no avail.  Not sure why HP indicates "Error".  AMI indicates there is an update however every time the download is started it errors out.  I will wait until I can no longer bypass the COD message and not play the game.
