Product: OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0014
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am currently trying to replace my ryzen 5 3600 to a ryzen 7 5800x. I am trying to download the BIOS onto a USB drive but when I go on the HP support website it wants me to enter a serial number or product name in order to identify it, when I put in the serial number it just gives me a never ending loading screen. How do I actually get the BIOS download to work?

Hi:

 

I don't believe that the processor you want to install in your PC will work according to the processor upgrade info at the link below.

 

OMEN 30L GT13-0014 Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

 

The Moria3 motherboard specifications indicate that the BIOS SSID is 87C3

 

HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Moria3 | HP® Customer Support

 

This is the latest BIOS update HP has for that motherboard SSID:

 

Driver - OMEN 30L Desktop - GT13-0014 | HP® Customer Support

 

If you look at all of the release notes for the previous versions, none of them add support for newer processors.

 

Note that you cannot roll back to a previous BIOS version after installing the update.
