Is there an upgrade available for BIOS post January 2010?

I am currently running BIOS version American Megatrends Inc 5.11. dated 28/01/2010.

I've tried using the HP Software and Drivers Downloads but can't get a response as it just hangs.

Desktop fan is very noisy & I hoped a more recent BIOS might help.

I did find a BIOS update for that model

That is the only one available.  It really depends on what the "Desktop fan is very noisy " really is.  If high speed then maybe try cleaning all of the dust out - being very careful.  If noisy from a fan going bad - very likely on a PC that old, then replace the fan, being very careful to observe and replace the heat sink properly after cleaning and replacing the heat sink compound if the fan is on the CPU.

Many thanks for your assistance.

I'll try cleaning all the dust out as my first option as the air intakes are pretty dusty so I suppose it's got inside the box.

Not surprising for an 11 year old PC.

Cheers.
