BIOS will not update

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I thought i had this one solved but discovered it was not fixed.  I have tried several times to upgrade my BIOS from F.50 to the latest F.62.  Everything I have tried has failed.  At various times the process makes it to different upgrade points, but the issue always seems to come down to an inability to find the update image.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem  I have also tried a USB upgrade path with no luck.  Why does the HP update utility not work on this upgrade?

@HawkeEye,

Foolish question, maybe:

This package provides an update to the HP Consumer Desktop PC BIOS (ROM Family 839F) for supported models running a supported operating system.  Is SSID 839F imprinted on the board?

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
