OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-068
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was adding memory to my computer... pc 2400 cl 15  (2) 8gb memory sticks.   I would get this beep beep beep, then fast beep when the memory was installed.  I troubleshot the member to see if it was bad...  it beeps on both new sticks.   Supposingly the member matches what I have except they both have heat shields on them and the orginal 8GB does not.   They new memory is made by RipJaw... and the original 8GB is made  by a different company....  but the new  memory I bought is suppose to work...  Can someone assist me?

@desoto56 , welcome to the forum.

I had your original thread deleted.  I will help you on this thread.

This is a very common problem.  Different brands of memory don't always play nice together; especially when you try to add high-end gaming memory to standard OEM memory.

Did you try removing the original memory and only installing the Rip Jaw memory to see if it works by itself?  If not, this should be your next step.  Install the new memory in the black sockets.  Let me know what happens.
