Hello

I have this computer:

Case:                                HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor

Motherboard:               09F8h

Motherboard socket: 775 LGA

Current processor:      Intel pentium 4 630 Prescott 90nm 3.0 Ghz SL8Q7 Link

Which is the best and fastest processor for this computer and this motherboard? Multiple cores are welcomed. Is it possible that this computer supports intel core quad core? Thanks for replies.

Hi:

The fastest (best) processor you can install is the Pentium D 945.

The one I installed in my dc7600 has the sSpec of SL9QQ.

If you need virtualization technology, then the Pentium D 950.  The Pentium D 950 is not faster.  It just supports VT.

Oh ok then. I was hoping for quad core. I will probably use this Pentium D 950 then. Thanks for quick reply.

That was all I wanted to know.
