Hello a couple questions re HP Elite Mini 600 G9 small form desktop business computer.
Recently I switched out the stock i5-13500T for the New i7-14700 Non-T (65w) and works well. I also switch out the 4800mhz ddr5 16gb to 2x g.skill ripjaw 5600mhz 16gb. The problem is that it is running at only 4800mhz. I have the most current up to date bios released last month.
After a lot of research and also calling into HP support I was unable to find the answer to my question: Will HP support update the bios in this model to accept 5600 mhz? If there is no plan to do this then I would ask HP support to consider making a plan to do so. You already provide support for 13th and 14th gen cpu which take 5600 mhz ram so please allow us to use this also. I see that the upgrade HP Elite Mini 800 G9 does allow 5600 mhz.
also what is the max ac adapter I can use on this unit? The i7-14700 65w says the max power it can reach is 219w. I currently have a 180w ac adapter and it is working okay but would I benefit from a higher wattage to support the full potential of the cpu?
Thank you!
