Just bought a Geforce 1080 - didn't realize motherboard is Legacy mobo.
Am I just screwed?
It's an LC120A Bios version AMI 7.11, from 3/18/2011
Is there a way to get passed Legacy Mode?

In very simple terms, the answer is "NO".
Explanation: As you know, your circa 2011 computer came with WIN 7, and BIOS. Commonly called Legacy. Such computers are not upgradeable to the newer UEFI, commonly called UEFI vBIOS.
Surprisingly, you never mentioned a new PSU. Your system has only a stock 300W PSU, and would not had the proper PCIE 8 pin power lead. I surmise you neglected that point.
My best answer is the following: (With some bias).
(1) Find a EVGA GTX 660. If you can't, others are OK. (Shappire, Zotac, Asus).
(2) Corsair CX600 PSU. An exact fit, will idle better than a 500W.
HP Envy 8 5010 Tablet
(2) HP DV7t i7 3160QM 2.3Ghz 8GB
Printer -- HP OfficeJet Pro 8620 Legal
Custom Asus Z97D, I7-4790k, 16GB RAM, WIN10 Pro 64bit, ZOTAC GTX1080 AMP Extreme 3 fan 8GB RAM, 500GB SSD, Asus PB287 4k monitor, Rosewill Blackhawk case and 750W OCZ PSU.
