Hi all,
Hopefully you can help with this.
I have a HP 290 G4 Microtower PC with Intel 10th Gen CPU. I wanted to do an update to the machine, new mem, network and CPU, I bought an Intel 11th Gen Core i9 11900K as they both use the same socket, but it seems the motherboard needs a BIOS update to get it working, other companies provided the updates but not HP from what I can see. I've updated to F.44 and still doesn't work.
Does anyone know if HP have released one that I'm missing, I'm hoping so as it's a massive waste and if this is the case, I'll need to replace the motherboard instead, I don't want to do that if I don't need to.
Any advise would be so helpful. Thanks all

Hi:
According to the HP Quickspecs, the PC only supports up to the Intel 10th gen core processors.
There wouldn't be a BIOS update that adds support for newer processors.
When you read the release notes for the current and previous BIOS updates, none of them added support for new processors.
