Hello HP Support,
I am contacting you regarding a TPM firmware compatibility issue with my HP OMEN 30L gaming desktop that is preventing me from meeting the security attestation requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.
My system information:
Product: HP OMEN 30L Gaming Desktop
Model series: GT13-1xxx
Motherboard / BaseBoard Product: 8876
Current BIOS: AMI F.21, dated November 21, 2024
TPM manufacturer firmware version: AMD 3.92.0.5
Secure Boot State: On
BitLocker drive protection: On
When I run the Activision Secure Attestation Wizard, I receive a message stating that a BIOS firmware update is required.
I recently found an HP Support Community forum post titled “HP AMD platforms with ASP fTPM - TPM Attestation failure.” The post states that HP does not intend to release a BIOS update containing TPM firmware version 3.92.5.5 for certain legacy AMD platforms because updating the TPM requires clearing TPM data, and HP considers clearing the TPM outside the Windows API undesirable.
The list of affected systems in that post includes the OMEN Desktop PC 30L GT13-0xxx series. My system is identified as a GT13-1xxx with motherboard 8876, so I would appreciate explicit confirmation of whether this policy also applies to my exact configuration.
Could you please address the following questions?
Product eligibility: Is my OMEN 30L GT13-1xxx with motherboard 8876 included in the group of systems for which HP does not intend to release TPM firmware 3.92.5.5?
TPM firmware support: Does HP plan to provide any officially supported BIOS or TPM firmware update that will resolve the Activision attestation failure on my system?
Alternative solution: If HP will not release TPM firmware 3.92.5.5 for my system, is there another HP-approved method to meet the attestation requirement without compromising system security?
Secure Boot compatibility: Are there any supported BIOS releases for motherboard 8876 that address the reported Secure Boot Platform Key enrollment or Secure Boot database issues? I want to avoid installing firmware that could compromise Secure Boot or prevent Windows from booting normally.
Official support position: If this hardware configuration is permanently excluded from the required TPM firmware update, can HP confirm that limitation in writing and clarify whether any alternative is planned?
I understand that clearing a TPM can affect security credentials and may trigger BitLocker recovery. My BitLocker recovery key is backed up, but I do not want to clear the TPM, alter Secure Boot keys, or install unofficial firmware without explicit guidance from HP.
My preference is to maintain the system's existing security protections while determining whether an officially supported solution exists. I would appreciate a response specific to my product series and motherboard, or escalation to the team responsible for OMEN BIOS and TPM firmware support.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
OMEN 30L owner

There is a BIOS update for your PC, it fixes the TPM issue but causes another.
Please see this discussion.
