When you cleared the CMOS did you have to change the date and time?  If not, then CMOS probably was not reset.

Try clearing again as explained here

make sure it is unplugged from wall.  There should be some changes noticed such as date, time, and a few other things.

 

If not then remove battery.

 

Not much else I can think of.

I have done that before but for good measure i just did it again and yes i had to set the time back got the beeps with the screen saying the errors for time and things defaulted on bootup.
