Hello,
Earlier I was on a state side deployment with the national guard for about 13 months. I picked up an HP tower to continue studying cyber security on. After the deployment ended I decided to unpack the tower. It was damaged in transport and is now a paper weight full of proprietary hardware. This isn't what i am upset about.
What i am upset about is when I purchased the computer from Walmart it was advertised as a "4000 series Ryzen 3" and because it does not have a GPU it would have to be the Ryzen 3 4300G APU. Upon taking off the CPU cooler to use a few parts to build a new system I was greeted with a surprise of the previous generation Ryzen 3 3200G APU. This is blatant false advertising and not what I paid for.

hi
"with a surprise of the previous generation Ryzen 3 3200G APU. "
What model is the computer exactly?
you should return it to the seller, but since it's been over a year, this will probably not be possible
I'm afraid nothing can be done for you here.

"What model is the computer exactly?"
Model number M01-F0033w
"you should return it to the seller, but since it's been over a year, this will probably not be possible"
It's been over a year and halfway across the US
"I'm afraid nothing can be done for you here."
I should have realized this the moment I bought an HP computer

Hi, @Heeknot
According to the official HP specs, you received the correct processor you paid for...

Nobody here is going to be able to explain that.
All we can go by is what the product specs indicate.
We don't work for or represent HP.
I suggest that you bring the matter up with HP if it is that important to you.

Been there done that. I was more or less told "Support only works on software support issues" after they asked me for the model number and serial number/complaints on the device. Its a bit strange for a company that has a lot of hardware only focuses on "software support issues." One of the reasons why I'm now here throwing a fuss trying to get HP's attention and potentially alert other users on this nonsense.

Indeed the model corresponds to what is ..
But it's not hp who will answer instead of Walmart, they're the ones who sold the computer..
That said, I don't see why telling you that we would just deal with software, it's completely wrong:
