HP ProDesk 600 G5 Base Model Microtower PC

Bluetooth used to work fine and the suddenly no more.

Bluetooth disappeared completely from my desktop PC. No bluetooth on the Device Manager.

Wi-Fi Bluetooth adapter is a USB EZCast 5200.

Under Device Manager Network Adapters, it shows:

Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)

Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #5

Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter #6

RAS Async Adapter

Realtek 8821 CU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB NIC

All are grayed

Other entries show well.

Tried the Windows Bluetooth troubleshooter no help at all.

Tried the several suggestions for the Bluetooth Services to make them automatic and start them. Restarted the PC.

None worked.

Turned off the PC disconnected the power cable and waited. Reconnected the power cable turned the computer back on. That did not work either.

Ran as Administrator the command prompt: fsc /scannow

Then tried the DISM  /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

That did not work at all.

Any suggestions to solve my problem will be appreciated.

Erico,

Thank you for your suggestion and prompt reply.

I had taken the USB EZCast 5200 and plugged it on several other PCs and Laptops. It failed on all that were running Windows 11.

Finally, plugged it on an old Dell PC running Windows 10 downloaded the EZCast Pro drivers (I had done that for all the other computers mentioned). Voila!!! worked like magic no problems.

There you have it; that dongle does not work on Windows 11. Visited an electronics store looked for a dongle that stated work with Windows 11, brought it home to my PC and it immediately worked. Problem Solved!
