Product: z440
Operating System: Linux
Hello,
I am the happy owner of a z440 workstation, I've installed OpenSuse Linux v 15.4
I upgraded the BIOS to version v2.59 which is quite recent.
After the Grub screen the boot would crash about every 1 in 3 times with this continuous error. See photo below.
nvme 0000 AER: Error of this agent is reported first
I wound back the HP BIOS from 2.59 to 2.58 (thank goodness that is a feature) and this crash has not happened since
I have 2x NVME drives fitted
HP Z Turbo Drive G2 PCIe with 512GB Samsung NVMe SSDs fitted in the two recommended PCIe slots
I'm experienced with OpenSuse installs and have never seen this before.
I saw another post on here about a BIOS update causing some sort of SSD timing upset so thought I should report this.
Thanks
